The Twin City Thunder are coming off a very successful road trip that saw both the NCDC and Premier teams sweep their weekend slates.

The NCDC team had a three game weekend that saw them defeat the Islander Hockey Club 3-2 in overtime on Friday at the Fall Beantown Classic.  They then hit the road for a pair of games in Rochester that saw them face a vastly improved Monarchs team.  On Saturday they played their second overtime game in as many days where Gonzalo Hagerman scored only 10 seconds in to the extra frame to give Twin City the win 4-3.  On Sunday the completed the three game weekend sweep with a 2-1 victory over Rochester.

The Thunder Premier played two games in Rochester on Saturday and Sunday.  They won Saturday's contest 8-4.  The Thunder pulled away when Rochester was whistled for a five minute major penalty at 12:49 of the 3rd period.  On Sunday the same two teams met and the Thunder dominated from the drop of the puck while winning handily by the score of 9-1.  Stavros Rigas netted a hat trick to pace the offense while Filip Jagren stopped 23 of 24 Monarch shots.

Both teams stopped recent losing streaks over the weekend and improved their position in the standings along the way.  The NCDC improved to sixth place with a 7-5-1 record.  The Premier moved in to first place in the New England Division with a 9-6 record.

The NCDC is on the road this Saturday when they have a rematch with the Islanders Hockey Club as they travel to Merrimack College for a 7:30 pm puck drop.

The Premier is facing an upcoming three game weekend of their own.  On Friday they take to home ice to take on the Northern Cyclones at 7:00 pm.  They then hit the road for 2 games, on Saturday they will head to Merrimack College to face off against the Islanders Hockey Club for a 3:00 pm puck drop.  They complete the three game schedule on Sunday with a visit to Tri Town Arena to take on the New Hampshire Monarchs at 4:10 pm.
