Thunder to Face Kings in USPHL Playoffs

The Twin City Thunder qualified for the USPHL Premier playoffs last weekend,  this past weekend they headed to the South Shore Kings Showcase looking to find their first round opponent.  While the Thunder were firmly entrenched in their position lots would be decided between the South Shore Kings and the Jr Monarchs.  

The Thunder went 3-0-1, getting 7 out of 8 points, in the showcase with two of their wins coming in overtime and their lone loss was also in overtime.  

The Kings defeated the Aviators to clinch third place and a date with the Thunder.

THUNDER CLAP:  The Twin City Thunder finished their inaugural season in the USPHL Premier Northeast Division with 48 points, good for sixth place and qualified for the playoffs in the toughest junior hockey division In New England.  They played, arguably, the toughest schedule in all of tier 3 hockey and finished with a 21-17-5 record.
